About Ross Squire Homes

Established in 1981 Ross Squire Homes is the largest supplier and builder of personalised site-built framed homes in Western Australia. Ross Squire is not a project builder, mass producing double brick homes suitable only for flat, sandy sites found in the Perth metropolitan area.

We specialise in homes that most builders do not have the expertise to build FRAMED HOMES. Homes that are in harmony with your environment and lifestyle. Whether it be a 'Beach Home', 'Hills Hideaway' or 'Station Homestead', we at Ross Squire can help. It makes no difference whether we are simply supplying a component home, constructing your home to any stage or designing your very own 'Dream Home'.

The Ross Squire range of homes is not only functional and easy to erect, but designed with your budget in mind.

However, they are far from basic in their standard form. Some of the standard features in many of our homes are verandahs, front and rear, feature front doors, extra large windows in a choice of colours, all with flyscreens and keyed-alike locks. Fibreglass insulation to external walls and ceilings is also standard.

Additionally, raked ceilings, walk-in robes, linen cupboards, and walk-in pantries feature in many designs. Strength has not been neglected as all homes use engineered wall frames and roof trusses.

All component homes are designed to withstand earthquake zone conditions and can readily be altered to comply with Terrain Category 1, 2 or 3 cyclonic conditions. All Ross Squire Homes can also be altered to suit your lifestyle and requirements.

Additional or larger rooms, extra verandahs, carports or garages can be accommodated. All site conditions can also be catered for. Whether it be difficult soil conditions, hilly terrain, high wind areas or simply a flat site, the Ross Squire designers and engineers have the expertise to solve the problem.

We are happy to assist in the planning and preparation of sketch plans for your own personalised design, or we can work direct from your own plan. Ross Squire truly is the leader in framed-home design versatility.

Experience and Service

Because we specialise, our staff are all experts in their particular field, which gives us the ability to offer a service second to none. Whether you simply require a basic kit home for a holiday hideaway or a luxury homestead built to completion, Ross Squire can help.

Our services include site evaluations, designs, fixed price quotations, and the building of your new home to any stage. We also take care of transport, with most of homes being delivered by our specialised crane truck and trailer, which minimizes heavy, manual lifting and component damage.

With our Owner-Built kit homes, we supply a detailed construction manual, which is second to none, and all necessary working drawings and specifications, including those required for Shire approval. We also provide a full back-up service should you require any assistance at any stage of construction. Country clients can use our Freecall number. Quick, efficient service is not only available from our Perth office, but also from Ross Squire supervisors in selected areas.

Compare our specifications with our competitors. It is important that you know exactly what you are getting. Our prefabricated timber wall frames are precision-manufactured in Western Australia and are treated for protection from termite and insect attack.

Prefabricated, engineered roof trusses and all other roof timbers are termite treated structural pine.

Steel wall frames are also available for special applications, should you require them, as are fully engineered Zincalume(™) coated steel roof structures.

All items included ensure a true quality finish to your home without added extras.

At Ross Squire, we do not restrict ourselves to using only products listed in our specifications. We can offer a vast range of alternative quality products and materials. Some of the variations you may wish to choose are:

  • Cedar weatherboards
  • Brick veneer
  • Colonial style windows in aluminium or timber
